What do you like best?

The security, confidence and practicality that Kong gives me when managing my APIs in a simple and efficient way is a great point in its favor that this application has, its interface has a fairly intuitive design which allows me to navigate through everything the system without major problem, and the fact that it is also a responsive application is of great help to me to access the information from my mobile phone without major problems, the main dashboard shows me in a fairly summarized way all the data I need to perform my activities in a much simpler and more efficient way, in terms of performance the application is quite good, its customer service team provides a fairly complete service and in a fairly fast way, solving in a short period of time any possible error that could be presented.

What do you dislike?

Being objective, there is nothing I can complain about Kong, it seems to me that everything works perfectly and without any inconvenience, now, what one I would suggest is that they change the interface design for one a little more modern, which I think could add more functionality to the entire application.

4. KrakenD

KrakenD

KrakenD is a stateless, distributed, high-performance API Gateway that helps you effortlessly adopt microservices.

KrakenD is more than a typical proxy that forwards clients to backend services, but a powerful engine that can transform, aggregate or remove data from your own or third-party services. KrakenD also implements the Backend for Frontend and Micro-frontends patterns to eliminate the necessity of dealing with multiple REST services, isolating clients from the micro-service implementation details.

Review: SaaSworthy

KrakenD is a high-performance open-source API gateway that provides a single interface. Its stateless design provides genuine linear scalability. Also, it is a single API that reduces the fuss of dealing with different microservices. By merging microservices, it delivers a better user response and improves response time. Also, developers can save time as multiple calls can be combined into one, responses can be shrunk, and data can be transformed and transported securely.

What do you like best?

Complex SOA are simplified using IS, TN, BPM, UM, BPM, CAF and MWS. Using wM on Azure cloud in Docker Microservice – Linux platform. We heavily depend on webMethods for all the integration activities.

Most helpful is the flow we can define in IS. Also with MWS we can monitor all the transactions, user access, TN assets etc. The internal clustering option for each components are also very useful.

Error capturing is also easy.

They also have a strong KEDB for known errors and product usage documentation.

BPM is very good for monitoring the business process.

What do you dislike?

Broker replacement UM is very complicated to understand. Monitoring is not easy for documents flowing in UM. Also setting up the UM Docker container was a challenge.

Another part that needs some improvement is CAF.

9. WSO2

WSO2

Deploy in the cloud, in your private data centers, or anywhere in between while cataloging your services in a single location to make it easy for your developers to find what they need to efficiently build their applications.

Build APIs from existing services, manage APIs from internally built applications and from third-party providers, and monitor their usage and performance from inception to retirement.

Provide real-time access to API usage and performance statistics to decision-makers to optimize your developer support, continuously improve your services, and drive further adoption to reach your business goals.

The integration runtime supports creating composite microservices, service, and API hosting needs, message routing, transformation, message mediation, service orchestration, as well as consuming and processing streaming data.

Review: G2

What do you like best?

Nice API store-front capability,Management of users and permissions, security, leaning curve ease to use , User authentication an easy to integrate with other software ,stable and support is also decent and API creation facility is also there as a whole whatever is expected from API manger WSO2 has provided more than that and it’s security system is so tight that it can be used for any banking system where user authentication, management and security management is the first fundamental thing.

What do you dislike?

Better QA testing prior to releases rollout is missing,Better support is needed.Apart from that nothing special cons we have encountered and we are using this for long time and it has served our purpose pretty well and as it’s stable so we have not encountered any such problem as such.

10. SnapLogic

API (Application Programming Interface) is a set of programming tools used by developers to integrate functionality offered by third parties. Using an API will let developers build software more quickly, with a richer set of features and less need for ongoing maintenance. Most APIs are available via the cloud, further reducing the effort and cost of software development and seamlessly connect data, applications, and machines. In other words, the API gives a foundational set of tools that streamline development of software, ensure data and application connectivity across an organization, and extend the connectivity with partners and customers.

Review: G2

What do you like best?

It is a powerful tool that allows you to connect data in different infrastructures Cloud, on-premises, REST API etc. it is awesome since most of my integration that I’m using API’s, the security is vital to protect sensitive data, the best thing is that it will enable you to execute data in a scheduled way, Report Automation

It is very friendly for beginners and intuitive, is easy pipeline with simple drag and drop snaps to do the transforming, If you are not familiar with the snapp Logic there is a lot of official documentation on how to start.

I have been experimenting issues integraring postgrest database the data must be veary clean o pipeline break, will be nice if the snap Logic had a controler version or itegrations with GIt Lab.
