Review: G2

What do you like best?

I use Aweber for all my email marketing needs and refer it to all my clients and students. I love their customer support, the ease of using their drag and drop campaign builder, the unlimited emails and their deliverability rates.

What do you dislike?

I don’t like their abandon cart campaign system, it’s severely lacking. You have to set it up manually with a paid plugin.

2. Unbounce

You can avoid bottlenecks and launch campaigns fast with one of hundreds of quick-launch templates, fully customizable to match your SaaS brand.

Unbounce helps you create, publish, and A/B test custom landing pages that can convert more visitors. And the best part is that you don’t need any coding skills to use this growth hacking tool.

Review: G2

What do you like best?

Being an agency where we designing and optimize landing pages for top brands we need a robust and scalable solution. Unbounce is just that. The page builder is super flexible and customizable, and we can design pages exactly the way we want with no restrained templates, just a free canvas. That way we can focus more on creating the smoothest customer journey, and validating our hypothesis for increased conversion rates with A/B tests or using AI. Every superhero needs his cape – Unbounce is ours!

What do you dislike?

The form builder does exactly what it should do – but I would like to see staged forms natively supported. Thanks to custom scripts it can still be achieved though.

3. Keap

Keap’s CRM and sales and marketing platform was built to help you dramatically grow your sales and save time by eliminating business chaos.

Keap is a solid growth hacking tool that can give your small business a boost. You can use its CRM and sales and marketing tools to automate various aspects of your business.

Features
  • Collect more leads: Get a greater number of high quality contacts. Then, sort them into segmented lists in our CRM and send the right message to the right people.
  • Convert more clients: Engage more prospects and send targeted, automated follow up that convert them to steady customers.
  • Create more fans: Be more efficient and create a better customer experience that generates repeat business.

Review: G2

What do you like best?

Keap’s customer service has been outstanding. Additionally, even though we are probably using 50-60% of its capabilities, Keap saves us $10,000s/year in administrative and marketing costs while removing much of the human error from repeat processes that can be automated.

What do you dislike?

While they have made upgrades in the UX, the design is clunky (for example, emails and contact records) and the speed of the site is slower than we desire. It has also been difficult for our data analytics vendor to extract analytics data.

4. Hello Bar

Hello Bar is one of the best growth hacking tools for lead generation. It helps you design messages for your website visitors to increase engagement.

Hello Bar’s lead generation tools help you generate leads, grow your email list, build your social media following, and reduce cart abandonment to enhance your revenue.

Features
  • Bars, Modals, Sliders — beautifully designed popups for your site. Easy to use. Fully customizable. Highly effective.
  • Advanced Targeting — target messages to users for maximum impact. Precisely target by device, location, visit, page, and more.
  • Easy to Use — 1-click installation. No code. WordPress, Shopify, SquareSpace, Wix, & 17 more.

Review: Capterra

Overall: Helps me convert visitors and curate where I want them to go. I saw from heatmapping that people went to the hellobar before any of our CTA Buttons!

Pros: I’m not a huge fan of sumome because there’s TOO MANY OPTIONS. I use HelloBar on most WordPress sites that I manage. My favorite thing about it is the easy A/B testing.
Cons: I have to use Zapier to connect it to Ontraport. It’s only a tiny inconvenience.

5. Gumroad

Gumroad is a great growth hacking tools for creators such as artists, writers, musicians, and graphic designers. You can use this tool to earn while doing what you love.

Features
  • Make it your own: Personalize your landing page to your heart’s content. Change some colors around or use CSS to style anything you wish — it’s up to you.
  • Embed your follow form: It makes it easy to include our follow form on an existing blog or website. All you have to do is copy and paste a few lines of code.
  • Build your audience: It gives you the tools to engage with an audience that cares about you and your work.
  • Bring your old friends: Easily import your existing email list — and export your followers and customers at any time.
  • Universal analytics: Gain access to powerful data. Discover what’s working for you and what could be working better.
  • Update and share: With posts and workflows, you can easily deliver content and engage with your audience.

Review: G2

What do you like best?

The thing that I most appreciate about Gumroad is how easy the platform makes it to get a product out into the world without the hurdles of first having to have a website, set up an online store, or pay costly software fees. I also appreciate that using Gumroad lets me keep most of my profits for myself.

What do you dislike?

I know this sounds picky, but I wish the style of the “Buy” button that is embedded on my website could be customized with a WYSIWYG editor instead of me having to know how to write/edit CSS in order to change the appearance. The default white button doesn’t stand out at all against the white background of my website, but I haven’t changed it yet because it’s not easy for me to do so.

One other issue that I sometimes experience is when customers input the wrong email address when going through the payment process and I receive an angry email from them saying they never got their digital product. I wish there was some way for customers to view their order and see/fix their own mistake before immediately disputing the purchase (which is what they sometimes do).

6. Olark

Olark Growth Hacking Tool

Olark is a popular live chat solution as well as a growth hacking tool. Live chat can help you increase sale by providing support. It helps you monitor leads, gain information from customers, and effectively support sales teams. And it provides detailed reports with actionable insights for better decision making. You can customize the chat box.

Features
  • Custom pre-chat forms: Jump-start conversation by gathering context before a chat begins
  • Triggered messages: Automatically send a suggestion or special offer at the perfect moment
  • Offline messaging: Not free to chat? Let customers leave a message, and follow up via email

With Olark’s features, you’ll never miss a lesson:

  • Easy data access: Update customer records, and track visits and pageviews, while chatting
  • Transcript archive: Save the full text of every conversation to a searchable database
  • Unlimited integrations: Send chat data straight to your other sales and support tools

Review: G2

What do you like best?

We started using Olark a few months back and thus far have liked that it’s straight forward, and integrates with helpscout.

What do you dislike?

The only thing I’d say needs work is the price for add on features. It seems that the price per user makes sense, but everything else is priced in a way to make it unattractive

7.Contentsquare

Clicktale is now Contentsquare. It is a cloud based analytic system based platform. It enables you to visualize your customer’s journey on your website from their perspective. Using this growth hacking tool you can analyze their behavior with the help of heatmaps and reports. There is an individual session replay capability too. It helps you reduce abandoned cart rates and increase conversions.

Features
  • Metrics anyone can understand: It works hard to keep it simple. Its intuitive visual reporting makes it easy to see how customers are using your site or app.
  • Effortless, automated insights: Contentsquare automatically surfaces your biggest opportunities and issues. It’s like having your own team of analysts to crunch your data and feed you a smarter to-do list.
  • Find errors before they cost you revenue: Quantify the biggest UX issues that are costing you online customers, and prioritise what matters most.
  • Session replay: Watch the exact sessions leading to errors and friction
  • Impact quantification: Surface and prioritise errors by revenue impact

Review: Capterra

Overall: We used ClickTale to see how our web site users were interacting with our content and all I can say is wow! Seeing how they were moving around the site, what they were clicking on was so valuable to us. We were able to make a few small tweaks and see big results in our revenue. They are a bit expensive compared to other solutions, but they are worth every penny if you are serious about getting the most out of your web site visitors.

Pros: – Outstanding information for your web site analytics – Session replays and seeing what users do/click on is invaluable information – Tons of reports and data that you can filter through to get a great understanding of your customers

Cons: – Can be cost prohibitive for most small businesses

8. CrazyEgg

CrazyEgg is a heat mapping tool. What can it do for your business, you ask? It helps you improve the functioning of your website. You can test new ideas and improve upon what has been working for you. You can fix the elements that hinder the growth. And using this growth hacking tool you can track your visitors and find out the elements people click on and interact with.

Review:n Capterra

Overall: Every time we sign a new client we recommend crazy egg as an option, and every time a client uses it we almost always end up use the user data to suggest changes that helps improve the conversion rates on the site.

Pros: The level of information you get from this software is insane. Being able to tell if users are clicking on something expecting a link has made a huge difference in how we design and review websites. That alone has helped us create a better funnel to get users to convert.

Cons: There really wasn’t much I didn’t like about the software, I felt the customer service was a little slow at times. Other than that this is a really great piece of software to help improve the overall experience on your site.

9. Drip

Drip Smarter Marketing

It gives you the tools you need to build personal and profitable relationships with your customers at scale. Drip makes being data driven a no brainer. Revenue dashboards show you in-depth revenue and engagement stats for each email and automation strategy. Compare strategies to see what’s driving your performance and where you can improve.

Features
  • Grow and improve your list: Attract more customers online with high converting forms and lead ads, and give them a warm welcome when they sign up for your list.
  • Send emails with ease: Increase engagement with email marketing, optimize with A/B testing, and tailor your messaging with recommended audience segments.
  • Turn shoppers into loyalists: Know who your best customers are and reward them. Use automations to nurture customers post-purchase and make them loyal for life.

Review: Capterra

Overall: It really is an outstanding piece of software at a great price with a super power none other (that I know of) offer and that is the ability to run multiple domains as separate entities.

Pros: It is one of the easiest pieces of software to work with. I have always enjoyed setting up automations and it is very clear how to do things. I don’t like getting bogged down with technicalities and this lets you create.

Cons: This ONE con is why I have pivoted to another software. There are less integrations with the program. The big ones are there, ClickFunnels, Google, Microsoft, but too often I found other programs I wanted to integrate and Drip was not a default integration. Really not their fault but it is enough of an issue for me.

10. Klaviyo

Klaviyo is the best software platform for marketing any business that sells online. We drive billions of dollars of revenue for brands large and small, all over the world.

This is a cloud based email marketing solution. Klaviyo integrates easily with multiple platforms, and also helps with audience segmentation, and performance reporting. You can send targeted emails based on purchase history and user behavior.

Features
  • Integrations: Integrate with leading ecommerce platforms and tools like BigCommerce, Magento, Shopify, Stripe, WooCommerce, and more.
  • Data Science: Use predictive analytics, rooted in data science, to save time and grow your business faster.
  • Reporting: Explore real-time activity feeds for up-to-date customer information. Report on revenue and things that matter most to your business.

Review: G2

What do you like best?

Customer support is the best part of Klaviyo. The Email functionality is easy to use and Segmentation is straightforward to work with and seamlessly integrates with Paid Media Campaigns on Facebook and Google. Being able to sync with Shopify Plus and many other platforms makes Klaviyo an easy choice.

What do you dislike?

Rearranging CRM Campaigns in Flows can be challenging. There are bugs from time to time. Overall, the setup time is worth the effort.
